Abstract	Speech given by Sen. Fulbright in which he called for a calm and measured response to the turmoil surrounding the Cuban revolution and the ascent to power of Fidel Castro. Sen. Fulbright recalls the similarities between the events in revolutionary Mexico and Cuba, and warns of the dangers in confusing a rising national consciousness with communism.
